I honestly wish some people would see how much effort someone puts in. How much time and energy and thought a person is willing to go through. Yet others tend to overlook this quite often. I know I can’t simply grasp your attention like how you always have mine with such ease. But after a while it cannot be helped. All the little things you do seem to stop me in my tracks and amaze me. On the other hand, as I give it my all and do everything I can to make you aware that I even exist or look my way. I end up in disappointment, which is nothing new. Sometimes I ask myself if it’s really worth all the trouble and effort to keep trying. There’s a difference and that’s the way she captures me like how no one else could. She doesn’t even notice, although who would? Even if I didn’t mean as much to her it’d be nice to know that I wasn’t just some nobody. Just like the stars, there were millions of them. I guess I didn’t shine bright enough to even make her aware that I was light years away from even reaching her. She had always told me to be glad, for what we had, while we had it. And they say the brightest flame burns the quickest. Which means you saw us as a candle. And I saw us as the sun.
